Three Sets of Grandparents

The Friday after Marcus' birthday, Grandpa and Grandma Schuurman had to go back home, but we enjoyed every minute we had with them.  Marcus even joined Mark and his dad as they went to pull-up on Friday morning.  The three boys thoroughly enjoyed their work and I'm sure Titus will join them when he's old enough.
The following day, my dad and his wife Sonya came to celebrate Marcus' birthday.  They brought gifts, a balloon (which was the one thing he wanted that I forgot to get...), and we enjoyed the day together.  They bought him a kid bow & arrow for his birthday and it was a HUGE hit.  I don't know who likes playing with it more...Marcus or Mark!  Either way, it was nice to spend the day with them.
And finally, yesterday we met up with my mom and her husband John at Tweetsie Railroad.  I went as a child so I wasn't sure how much it could've changed since I was there, but it was SO FUN!  We had lunch prior to going into the park and they gave him his very own pop-gun.  You see, Tweetsie is an Old West themed amusement park that has a real train and cowboys are everywhere.  When you ride the train around the mountain they do a few Cowboys & Indians skits and it's great!  Marcus was afraid of them at first, but got used to them quickly.  He loved the train ride the most (according to him on the ride home...) and also enjoyed mouse train (smaller kiddie-type ride), the carousel, and the petting zoo.  This wasn't your average petting zoo because they had white deer, pot-bellied pigs, goats (of course), emus, and llamas!  The weather was perfect, the park had hardly any people, since most kids are back to school, and we really enjoyed our time with Grandma B and Papa John.
So there you have it!  A wonderful week of seeing all three sets of grandparents leaves Marcus (and Titus) feeling the love and being VERY spoiled! :)

Friday after they left, Marcus fell asleep at 5:30 and wouldn't wake up, sleeping through the night until 8am the next day.  The poor child was POOPED!

Granny sure enjoyed her snuggle time with Titus.

Marcus tried his best to mess up Granddad's phone again.

Be still my heart. :)

Marcus thought it was so fun to jump (naked) on Daddy's back.

His shirt says, "Grandpa's Big Guy."

Daily snuggles happen between them.

"I don't WANT them to leave!"

Marcus was BEYOND excited about going to Tweetsie.

There's a picture of me as a child on this very same horse.  It's amazing how time flies.
